Rajasthan Tour with Luxury Hotels

India has always fascinated me because of its rich diversity in culture. My wife and I have recently visited to India on our honeymoon. This was one of our dream destinations. We had planned and chose to visit Rajasthan because the state has still preserved the essence of the culture of India. I still remember that we arrived to India on Valentine’s Day. It was impressive to see all those vendors selling red roses on all most every other road. So, we stayed at Le Meredian Hotel in Delhi. Since this hotel was in Central Delhi, all the places were in close proximity. We rested for the whole day when we arrived but in the evening we went to Akshardham Temple to see the famous fountain show. The next day we hired a guide and that guy took us to Rajghat, the cremation ground of MK Gandhi. We got to learn a lot about Gandhi in a nearby Museum. Within one day that guide had helped us to visit every corner of Delhi. I remember the difference between the Old Delhi and Lutyen’s Delhi. We chilled at India gate and also enjoyed at Ski India which was in Noida.

Our next spot was Agra. We reached that place within five to six hours. We had booked our stay at Radisson Blu and were just mesmerized when we arrived there. We took a spa and had our lunch. We went to see the magnificent Taj Mahal and also covered few places like fatehpur sikri and Jama Masjid. We bought a souvenir of Taj Mahal as a memento from that place.

So finally we left for Rajasthan the next day. We had planned to visit Jaipur, Jodhpur and Udaipur. We were already very enthusiastic to visit that state since the best part about Rajasthan is the palaces. So we grasped this opportunity and planned our stay at the Jai Mahal Palace. This palace has in itself many things to explore and from its architecture to the cuisine they serve, everything was just elegant. We visited Chokidhani at night to experience the wonderful shows which are generally organized at that time. We enjoyed the katputli show and kalbelia folk dance. The next day we went to the famous Sheesh Mahal and Hawa Mahal. We kept wondering how within a distance of a few kilometers everything keeps changing in India from the dress, food, culture to different lifestyles! We bought lots of handicrafts from this place.

We drove to our next destination, which was Jodhpur. After arriving at the Radisson hotel we hurried to visit Mehrangarh fort as we were short of time. We just forgot all our tiredness after enjoying the adventurous flying fox at that fort. We also visited Umaid Bhawan Palace and then finally packed our bags to depart for Udaipur. This city of lakes was very beautiful. Every part of it was worth capturing. The dawns and dusks were breathtaking. We enjoyed boating at Lake Pichola in the evening. The next day we wanted to take balloon Safari over the lake city but we could not as the weather didn’t allowed us. Finally we rested in our hotel Lakend which had beautiful views and then we went to the place from where we started, which was Delhi. The memories of our honeymoon are still very fresh in our hearts.
