Rajasthan Heritage Tour

Our tour organizer Om Prakash put his every effort to make our honeymoon special and full of adventures. He advised us to be a part of the Golden Triangle Tour of India. Om had booked every luxurious hotel and included only the best places to visit on our trip. So our first hotel was Vasant Continental when we arrived at Delhi. The staff gave us very warm welcome and yes the food was very hygienic and tasty. The hotel also provided us with the facility of our own driver. His name was Ashok. He took us to Akshardham Temple at night for the famous fountain show. Next day we went to Red Fort and Jama Masjid. The streets of Old Delhi had lot to explore. Since we are huge lovers of art, we went to theNational Gallery of Modern Art too.

Our next destination after Delhi was Mandawa and we stayed at Castle Mandawa. This place was so elegant and soothing. We ate the traditional Rajasthani food. We visited the royal Rajput havelis of Anand Lal Poddar and Hem Raj Kulwal. My wife picked up a ton of souvenirs from the colourful markets. Each and every street of Rajasthan was justifying its rich tradition.

Om had planned our stay at Lallgarh Palace in Bikaner. The services at this grand palace were wonderful. The architecture had such beautiful and detailed elements. We went to Junagarh Fort and a hindu temple named Karni Mata Temple. This temple has thousands of rats and they are believed to be sacred. After coming back to our hotel we departed for Jaisalmer. Ashok had suggested that we take both, elephant and camel rides. Apart from those rides, we also enjoyed the desert safari in Jaisalmer. I would suggest not to miss this!

The next destination was Jodhpur. We stayed at the royal Ratan Vilas. We visited the Mehrangarh fort and captured many photos. This fort gave the view of the whole city which was completely unbelievable. We came back and immediately left for Jaipur. The Shahpura House, where our car stopped, left us in a moment of disbelief with its immense beauty. The Rajasthani hotels had the blend of old and new traditions. In this high technological world, every palace or hotel while providing the modern facilities, preserved the beauty of a tradition. We went to Jal Mahal and Amber fort. We both had forgotten that we were on our honeymoon and feeling that we were on a tour of discovery and adventure. Thank you, Royal Ratan Vilas!

After enjoying the whole day, we decided to relax in our room and get ready for more fun and adventure!The next morning, we departed for Agra. We both were dying to see the symbol of love-Taj Mahal. Finally we reached Crystal Sarovar at Agra. We refreshed ourselves with a chilled cocktail and went to see the Taj Mahal. The Mughal architecture was just so beautiful.

With this, our honeymoon had come to an end. We boarded our flight from Delhi and the memories of this trip will stay in our hearts forever! We are very thankful to our trip planner Om Prakash and the fantastic driver Ashok. We will definitely chose Om to plan our next holiday
