Delhi Agra Rajasthan Tour

Being a big fan of Indian culture and heritage, it was always a dream to visit it and explore. So I went to India last month with my friends. We had targeted to take the Golden triangle tour that is to Delhi-Agra-Rajasthan.

I still remember when we arrived in Delhi, it was raining. We took a cab and ran to our hotel which was Vasant Continental. This five star hotel pampered us with a warm welcome. The hotel provided us a driver who was a very sweet guy and his name was Hari Bhagwan We all ate our dinner and planned our trip with the help of the guide who was available at the hotel premises itself.

So without wasting much time we left for Agra the very next morning. After reaching at our hotel Jaypee Palace, we all got fresh in few minutes and left to visit Taj Mahal. We all took many photos of the monument and read all information about it which was available there. We went to Fatehpur Sikri and did some shopping. We rushed to our hotel as we had to depart for Rajasthan.

The same night Hari drove for six hours and we had reached to our destination. Our stay was at Anurag Palace in Ranthambore. We went to Ranthambore National Park and saw tigers alive which was like a dream come true to watch a wild animal in his habitat. We were little afraid but more excited.

After having this wonderful experience with tigers we went to our next place that was Jaipur. We were welcomed by the staff of Radisson. We enjoyed body spa at this hotel, which was necessary to continue our trip with more enthusiasm. Then after having a finger-licking meal we went to Amber Fort. We enjoyed camel and elephant rides. We also went to the huge, elegant and luxurious City Palace. There is something very attractive about Rajasthan and that is its colorful and detailed architecture. We were all so mesmerized that we could not even imagine the time one palace or haveli would had taken in its construction.

The next day we reached to Laalgarh Palace in Bikaner. We were lucky that we got an opportunity to enjoy the Camel Festival here which is only celebrated in the month of January. Hari had decided Jaislmer as our next destination. We took rest at Rang Mahal which was again one of the best Mahals with the representation of the rich and royal Rajput culture in its architecture and ambience. Hari dropped us at Desert Safari and at that place we hired another driver. We again enjoyed camel ride here and clicked lots and lots of photos.

Indana Palace was the one which we had booked at our next spot- Jodhpur. Since we were here for just one day so we chose to visit the most popular Mehrangarh Fort without wasting any time. After this our last destination was the City of Lakes- Udaipur. Finally we arrived at our last hotel Lakend hotel and rested for good number of hours. The next day we went for boating at Fateh Sagar Lake. We were enjoying and talking about our trip during the boat ride. The moments we had captured in our cameras were rejuvenating our memories.

Finally our beautiful trip had come to an end and we finally board our flight from IGI Airport, New Delhi.

The most outstanding staff/guide are Shailender our driver who took very good care of us. Highly recommended. Most outstanding guide are Jittuji from Biknar. I was not really looking forward to Biknar but he changed my perspective about Biknar by his knowledge. Now Biknar is the best part of my trip. Also most importantly his genuine nature touch a cord with us. Next to mention would be Nazzim (I hope I spelt his name correctly), our guide from Agra. He was also commendable. Very knowledgeable too. He went out of his way to give us an option, if we want to see Taj Mahal at sunset. We declined but his gesture is very much appreciated. The guide from Jaisalmer, Kaliyan Singh was not to our expectation. One of the Jain temple, we went in ourselves. He explained briefly on the idols outside and told us to go in ourselves. When we went in and saw other guide with their group briefing them. While our guide was waiting outside for us. We went to The Havelies and another young boy took us for a guided tour. We tipped this boy as he was knowledgeable but spoke sparingly in english. I believe that it was Kaliyan Singh job. Next was guide from Udaipur, Vikramji. I felt that he did not meet my expectations.

The Bikaner, Guide, was outstanding. He changed our perception of Biknar and now it is our favourite destination. Your choice hotels were good. But had a very unpleasant experience during check in at Golden Tulip hotel, JAIPUR with their Duty Manager, Yuvraj. Have already feedback about him. The Lallgarg Palace was a nice stay but very frequently, the electricity goes off but was quick to return service. Golden Tulip Jaipur – was ok but Felt a bit of weird because the window was facing other rooms and if you look down, it like a courtyard where the reception, sitting areas are. So felt a little claustrophobic.

Last but not least, I like highlight that in your quote, you indicated the price for Udaipur/Delhi flight fare as USD 65 Per Person x 2 Pax : USD 130. If you had indicated the price as an estimated fare that will be confirmed upon booking would have been more appreciated. We were taken by surprise when you started to add on. I hope that my feed back is taken as a measure for improvement.

One more point to highlight is the hotel rates. I have requested for 4star hotels so any change request made that is within that range, I feel that the travel agent should absorb the difference in prices regardless of plus minus. All these unforeseen criteria should be computed in the final quote. So when we were given an option to change hotel in Biknar with an additional cost per pax was puzzling to both my husband and I.
