The Golden Temple is the holiest Sikh pilgrimage site in the world and millions of devotees visit it on a daily basis. There are numerous Gurdwaras all around the city and many places of religious importance like Akal Takht and Durgiana Temple. Amritsar being in Punjab has many places of great political and historical significance. Jallianwala Bagh is a public garden and the massacre memorial site where thousands of people were killed during the British rule. Maharana Ranjith Singh Museum is another place to visit, as it possesses many historical artefacts from the Sikh empire. Tour Itinerary

Day : 1   Arrive Delhi

Upon your arrival in Delhi, our tour operator will collect you at the airport to take you to your pre-booked hotel. You can either just rest at the hotel or just stroll around the local markets and enjoy the nightlife of the city.

Day : 2   Delhi - Jaipur (5 Hrs Journey)

After having the breakfast, you will leave for local sightseeing in Delhi, starting with a visit to the India Gate. The War Memorial was built by the British in commemoration of the soldiers of the British Indian Army who lost their lives in the Third Anglo-Afghan War and World War I. From here, you get to witness Rashtrapati Bhawan and Parliament, which are also fine examples of the British architecture. You then visit Humayun’s Tomb, the resting place of the Mughal Emperor Humayun and several other key members of the Mughal Empire. After that, you get to visit Qutub Minar, a 12th century brick minaret, and the other monuments in the complex.

Once you are done with the sightseeing, you have lunch before leaving for Jaipur via road, which is a 5-hour journey. You check in the hotel and spend the night there itself.

Day : 3   Day in Jaipur

The third day of the tour is full of ultimate experiences, as you visit some of the finest examples of Indo-Saracenic architecture there is. The sightseeing starts from outside the city of Jaipur with a visit to the Amer Fort, the former house of the royals of the Jaipur. The huge fort stands atop a hill with four different levels in it. Sheesha Mahal, Diwan-i-Khas, the other royal palaces and tunnels are some of the highlights of the fort. From here, you stop at Jal Mahal to click some pictures before moving in to the city of Jaipur. Here, you get to witness the best piece of architecture in Jaipur, the City Palace of Jaipur. The durbar halls, courtyards, palaces, design works, everything is just absolutely fantastic.

You then visit Hawa Mahal, a palace with 953 windows, which was the palace for the women in the royal family. You can spend your evening shopping in the local markets of the Pink City before enjoying an incredible dinner with delicacies from the local cuisine.

Day : 4   Jaipur - Agra (5 Hrs Journey)

Post the breakfast, you leave for Agra from Jaipur via road and stop at Abhaneri Stepwell on the way. The Stepwell is more than thousand years old and once was the only source of water in the village. The huge stepwell surely is a great place to visit.

Once you reach Agra, you visit the Agra Fort first. Agra Fort, built in the 15th century, was taken over by Babur to establish the Mughal Dynasty in the country. Later on, his descendants remodified the fort during their reign with Akbar contributing the most. You then visit the Taj Mahal, one of the biggest architectural marvels in the world. Emperor Shah Jahan had two obsessions, his wife and architecture in the colour white. Taj Mahal is the result of both, as Shah Jahan vouched to build the most beautiful mausoleum in the world for his beloved wife. Witnessing the Taj Mahal during the sunset is a thing of beauty and a sight that you will never forget. You then visit some local markets for shopping before checking in your hotel for dinner and the overnight stay.

Day : 5   Agra - Delhi / Amritsar (by flight)

3 ½ Hrs Journey to Delhi and take your flight for Amritsar.

Meet with your tour driver at Amritsar airport upon arrival who will take you to your hotel and check into your hotel upon arrival.

Day : 6   Day in Amritsar

The morning starts with the visit to Sri Harmandir Sahib or the Golden Temple as the world knows. The Gurdwara is the holiest shrine in the Sikh Community with Sikhs visiting the place at least once in their lifetime. The fifth Sikh Guru, Guru Arjan, built the temple in early 17th century. You can have a meal from the community hall that serves food 24x7 throughout the year.

You then visit the Jallianwala Bagh, the place where the 1919 massacre took place when British army killed hundreds of innocent Indians, including women and children, for organising a meeting.  From here, you visit Maharaja Ranjith Singh Museum, Durgiana Temple and Mata Lal Devi Mandir.

In the evening, you visit the Wagah Border, popular for the ‘Retreat’ ceremony. The flag-lowering ceremony at the end of each day is now a popular tourist attraction in the city. With flags of both countries being lowered by the soldiers, people from both sides roar hard and loud. It is an experience that is hard to put in words. From here, you go back to hotel to have dinner and spend the night.

Day : 7   Amritsar - Delhi (by flight)

The last day of the trip is a flight back to Delhi from where you can leave for your desired destination via a connecting flight.
