The Char Dham Yatra is an important pilgrimage circuit consisting of four pilgrimage sites in North India. Badrinath, Kedarnath, Yamunotri and Gangotri are the four pilgrimage sites located in the Garhwal region in the state of Uttarakhand. All four sites are religiously important for various reasons and have deities from all three major sectarian traditions of Hindu religion.
