Birla Mandir, Jaipur is one the many Birla mandirs present throughout India. The impressive temple is built on an elevated ground at the base of Moti Dungari hill in Rajasthan. It is one of the major attractions in Jaipur and the temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu (Narayan) and Goddess Lakshmi. Due to this reason, the temple is also called Lakshmi Narayan temple.
Finest quality white marbles were used to build the Birla mandir with three huge domes representing the different approaches of the religion. There is a statue of Vishnu and Lakshmi together, carved out of a single white marble, which is a major attraction among tourists visiting the temple. Inside the shrine, there are many deities of the Hindu pantheon. Another highlight of the complex is that the outer walls of the buildings have statues and sculptures of great personalities and figureheads throughout the history of all faith, like Buddha, Christ, Zaruthustra, Socrates and Confucius.
