Dharamshala is the second capital of the state of Himachal Pradesh in India and is one of the most visited hill stations in North India because of the different culture of the region. It is home to a large Tibetan community as His Holiness Dalai Lama resides here.
The place is famous for its shopping markets, eating joints with unique Tibetan food and numerous monks walking past you in the streets. Dharamshala is also famous for its trekking expeditions and the main attraction is the Triund Hill trek during the summers as well as winters. Bhagsu waterfall is another tourist attraction of the place.
The region also has many tea gardens and estates and the tea produced is exported throughout the world. Dharamshala has one of the most beautiful stadiums in the world because of the Dhauladhar range in the background.
