Manali is a major tourist destination, as it is one of the most preferred hill station destinations by families to visit during the summer break. The resort town is located amidst the mountains of Himalayas near Kullu Valley (in the Beas river valley). Manali also serves as a gateway to other popular destinations like Lahaul, Leh and Spiti.
Hidimba temple and Manu temple are two main temples located in this area that are most visited by tourists. Manali wildlife sanctuary gives you a glimpse of the flora and fauna of the Himalayas. Many recreational and adventurous activities can be done in Manali like paragliding, trekking, river rafting and boating. A trip to Rohtang Pass is a great option as the view from the top is just incredible. Hampta pass is a great option for trekking because of its beautiful expanses and great weather conditions.
